An unforgettable show for all rock genre-’Supernatural’ lovers

Night comes in the beautiful city of Philadelphia, fans of the band ‘Louden Swain’ making their way through the busy streets to the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown hotel, where the concert will be held.
As I went inside and the escalator got closer to the room, I was surprised by how many people were there…the floor was entirely packed with fans divided into four different lines, depending on which pass they bought for the ‘Supernatural’ series convention going on that weekend: Gold Passes was the first line up front, followed by Silver, Copper, and lastly, the GA passes. This gave me a perfect opportunity to interview some people in line while waiting to be sent inside.
“This is definitely the first time I’ve been to a Louden Swain concert,” said Heather, a 32-year-old fan of ‘Supernatural.’ “I definitely got into this band’s music through the show. Very excited to see how they will play live.”
However, some other fans had never seen or heard about this band before. “This is actually my first time at this concert and the show’s convention entirely. I’ve been a fan of the show since it started, but I am definitely trying to become a fan of Louden Swain also now, thanks to the show itself. It’s nice to find out about new creative bands that way,” said Gina, a 32-year-old fan of the series
The moment the lights shut down, the crowd erupted into cheers! The band started their concert with “King Of Silverlake,” from their album “Feelings and Such.” Throughout the show, fans were able to hear famous hits, such as “Letter,” “Poptart Heart,” ”Mommas Jam,” “Gimme Some,” “Guilty One,” and “One Of Those Things.” Additionally, the Creation Entertainment crew handed fans red lights at the entrance to show support for Rob Benedict’s (the lead singer) heart attack 10th anniversary, which were waved by them during the song “She Waits,” which made him emotional. Another moment like this happened during the encore, with the song “Amazing!” Fans also really enjoyed the first encore song, “Fare Thee Well!”
To add more to the emotion and joy in the crowd, fans received some exclusive guests during this show, such as ‘Supernatural’ actresses Julie Mcniven (cover of Shallow by Lady Gaga and Brandon Cooper with Benedict) and Kim Rhodes (cover of Video Killed The Radiostar by The Buggles with Benedict once again), alongside actors Gil McKinney (cover of Teddy Swims’ hit track Lose Control), Mark Sheppard, who played the drums with the songs “Just Right,” “Reconnection Blues,” “I Liked You More,” (with Richard Speight Jr). All guests delivered powerful performances that made the crowd erupt in loud cheers!
At the end of the concert, after the band played the last song, “Medicated,” fans’ excitement was still palpable. “They are really good live,” said Charlotte, a 37-year-old fan of the band. Everyone in the group I interviewed unanimously agreed with her statement! “I liked how rock’ n’ roll some songs were. It was very groovy!” concluded Charlotte.
A fun fact brought up in this conversation was that the sound in this venue was better than the previous ones, which made them enjoy the concert more appealing to the audience. “I thought it was less loud than other venues I have been to, as the previous ones were a bit too uncomfortable for me to hear because of the audio,” said Isabella, a 26-year-old fan of the band. The group once again agreed unanimously, since they had all seen the band play previously at other conventions of ‘Supernatural.’
Nonetheless, the fans had a great time, and Louden Swain was phenomenal to hear live for the first time. Such an unforgettable night after all!
